Mr. Augustus Olawale Babarinde is the Director, NAFDAC Laboratory Services (Agulu).

He had his graduate and postgraduate degrees from the University of Ibadan, Ibadan.

He worked in the private sector before joining the public sector and has been vastly involved in quality assurance work throughout his career.

He is a member and fellow of several professional bodies including Institute of Chartered Chemists of Nigeria (ICON), Nigerian Institute of Science and Technology (NIFST), Institute of Public Analysts of Nigeria (IPAN) and AOAC INTERNATIONAL. He is currently a member of the board of AOAC Africa.

He is a seasoned lead inspector for GMP and ISO 2001 and ISO 17025.

He has attended management and scientific trainings, workshops and conferences within and outside Nigeria.

At various times he had served as Head of NAFDAC Central Laboratory Oshodi, Head of NAFDAC Food Regulations Division, and Director of NAFDAC Lagos State Office.
