Nigerian National Pharmacovigilance Policy And Implementation

This Policy shall serve as a tool for providing an enabling environment for effective planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the pharmacovigiliance system by the three tiers of government in Nigeria, including partners, private health sectors, parastatals and not – for – profit private sectors (e.g. Non – Governmental organization and faith – based organization). The policy addresses issues related to the systems and structures that are required for pre and post – authorization monitoring of safety and effectiveness of health products in Nigeria.
