  1. Application letter to DG NAFDAC with the following accompanying documents:                  
    • Certificate of Incorporation (visit cac.gov.ng)
    • Product Registration license issued by NAFDAC (where applicable)
    • Factory cGMP Certificate or GHP (where applicable)
    • Evidence of registration with Nigeria Export Promotion Council (nepc.gov.ng )
    • Nigerian Export Proceed Form – NXP Forms (CBN) cbn.gov.ng
    • Phytosanitary Certificate from Nigeria Agricultural Quarantine Service (NAQS) naqs.gov.ng
    • Proforma Invoice
    • Packing List
    • One sample of each product to be exported
    • Original copy of Certificate of Analysis (for Registered Products)
    • Importation documents endorsed by NAFDAC (For CFS)
    • Quality Specification by importing countries
  1. Review of Application and Accompanying Documents
  2. Request for Inspection and Sampling for Laboratory Analysis [sent to Food Safety and Applied Nutrition Directorate (FSAN) For the Inspection of the Warehouse/Facility.]
  3. Issuance of Export Certificates [upon Satisfactory Review of Documents, Inspection and laboratory analysis]

Other requirements for Export to ECOWAS region include the following:

  • Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN) Certificate
  • NACCIMA
  • Written application to Hon. Minister of Foreign Affairs and ETLS Approval by National Approval Committee.

    • List of items to be exported and weights (only 30kg is allowed)
    • An endorsed copy of the international passport indicating the exporters’/representatives’ approval to travel to the designated country with the data page.
    • Ensure only permitted items are to be exported.
