Post Marketing Surveillance On Food, Drug And Other Regulated Products #12191

The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) hereby informs manufacturers and manufacturers’ representatives to put a suitable post marketing surveillance system in place to effectively monitor the quality and safety of products that they register with NAFDAC.  Annual reports on post marketing surveillance activities should be submitted to the Director-General (NAFDAC), attention: Director, Pharmacovigilance/ Post Marketing surveillance Directorate, NAFDAC Corporate Headquarters, Abuja.

The submission of Annual Post Marketing Surveillance report is one of the requirements for renewal of registration of food, drug and other regulated products.

Manufacturers and manufacturers’ representatives, also known as Marketing Authorization Holders (MAHs) are urged to liaise with NAFDAC to identify priority products for their annual post marketing surveillance activities.

All manufacturers and manufacturers’ representatives are to comply with this requirement to ensure that the quality of food, drug and other regulated products manufactured, imported, distributed and sold in Nigeria conforms to the quality standards registered by the Agency.
