Public Alert: 012/2020 – Australia Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) recall Nerada Detox Tea

The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has been informed by Australia Regulatory Authority that Australia/Canberra: Nerada Tea Pty Ltd, a Malanda, Queensland establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Detox Tea with added Probiotics from the Australian marketplace.
The recall was due to suspected Salmonella contamination and consequential risks of Gram-negative bacterial infection, severe illness and/or possible life-changing complications or death.
The product has been available for sale online and at independent grocery stores in Australia.

NAFDAC implores all importers, wholesalers, and retailers to immediately stop the importation, distribution, and use of the affected batch of Nerada Detox Tea with added Probiotics.
